The Dlight Solar lights are very portable take-anywhere solar lights which seem ready to replace torches, lamps or most other kinds of portable lights which we need to take on rides and treks. The charging happens through the solar panel and goes into batteries which can power the lights from 4 to 8 hours.

There are two distinct models suitable for portable use, the S2 and the S20. Lets look at them one by one.

S2

Specifications as given on website :

  • One 4 Hour Brightness Setting
  • Free 2-Year Replacement Warranty
  • > 5 Year Lifetime
  • No Battery Replacements Needed
  • Integrated Solar Panel
  • Dual Solar / AC Charging
  • Full Charge from Solar/AC – 8 Hours
  • Battery Charge Level Indicator
  • Glow In the Dark On/Off Button
  • Weather, Dust and Impact Resistant

Pros :

  • Its very sturdy, takes the worst drops with ease.
  • Its small and thin and fits in the luggage easily
  • The light is good enough for usual things we have to do on trips.
  • The clip on handle provides good grip. Infact you can clip it on the belt for handsfree use and on a royal enfield you can clip it over the numberplate (with some effort) to work as an emergency headlight
  • The battery lasts as committed

Cons :

Haven’t noticed any. It seems perfect for what it does

At around Rs.500 this is a no brainer. A must have for a traveller. I totally recommend this even for use at home. Buy it from Flipkart by clicking on the button below.
